Preceptor Program
Mission Clinic has really been cultivating its Preceptor Program. Healthcare provider students come from International College of Health Science, Florida International University, South University, Florida Atlantic University, and Palm Beach State College. One of our biggest groups of potential providers is from HCI, Health Career Institute. Several classes of students from HCI have completed their clinical hours at Mission Clinic of Palm Springs. Students are able to gain hours in all areas of a community health clinic. These include check-in, registration, checkout, triage, lab work, shadowing a provider, scribing, and patient hard copy and electronic health records.

Mission Clinic has been fortunate to also gain several extra translators with the student volunteers. This has been a big help for our patient population.
Students have the opportunity to volunteer on Wednesdays with our Medical Director and teacher, Dr. Harry Bayron, and Imtiaz Mohammed, APRN, FNP; and two Saturdays per month with Lead Provider and Instructor, Sharon Cain, APRN, FNP, and Karli Cooke, APRN, FNP, among other providers volunteering at Mission Clinic. Currently, Mission Clinic has more than 25 students volunteering and gaining clinical hours. Previously, more than 165 students and volunteers have served at Mission Clinic. For more information, or to make an appointment, call Mission Clinic at 561-460-3555.
